How to find us - Chilworth Labs

ISVR Consulting's Chilworth Laboratories, where automotive work and engine testing are carried out, are on the University of Southampton Science Park adjacent to the A27 road just north of Southampton. The location is shown on the map below.

Directions to Chilworth Laboratories

We are easily reached by road, by taxi from Southampton Airport or by taxi from Southampton Parkway or Central railway stations.

By road from the North and Midlands.

Follow the M3 motorway to Southampton and exit at Junction 14 following signs for the A33 Southampton.

Just after the End of Motorway sign is the Chilworth Roundabout. At the Chilworth roundabout follow the signs for the A27 to Romsey, taking the third exit, and keeping to the left hand lane to bear left onto the slip road as you pass the Total petrol station. When the road forks shortly afterwards, take the left-hand fork onto the A27 towards Romsey.

Follow the A27 for approximately 1 mile passing The Clump Inn on your left. One hundred yards beyond The Clump, turn turn left into the University of Southampton Science Park, which is well signed.

Follow the road (University Parkway), slowly because of the speed bumps, round to the right past the Merck building. Chilworth Labs are 150 yards further on, on the left.

By road from the East

Follow the M27 to Southampton and leave at Junction 5 (Note: Junction 5 follows Junction 7: there is no Junction 6). At Junction 5, take the first exit on the roundabout onto the A335 to Southampton.

After 0.4 miles, turn right at the first set of traffic lights onto the A27 (Bassett Green Road).

After 1.3 miles you will reach the Chilworth Roundabout. At the Chilworth Roundabout follow the signs for the A27 to Romsey, taking the second exit, and keeping to the left hand lane to bear left onto the slip road as you pass the Total petrol station. When the road forks shortly afterwards, take the left-hand fork onto the A27 towards Romsey.

Stay on the A27 for approximately 1 mile, passing The Clump Inn on your left. One hundred yards beyond The Clump, turn turn left into the University of Southampton Science Park, which is has a prominent name board at the entrance.

Enter the Science Park and follow the road (University Parkway), slowly because of the speed bumps, round to the right past the Merck building. Chilworth Labs are 150 yards further on, on the left.

By road from the West.

Follow the M27 and exit at Junction 3. Take the first exit at the roundabout onto the M271 (northbound) signposted to Romsey.

After 0.6 miles, at the end of the M271 take the second exit onto the A3057 towards Romsey.

After 1.5 miles, turn right (second exit) at the roundabout onto the A27. After 1 mile take the second exit at the next roundabout, straight ahead, remaining on the A27.

Remain on the A27 through North Baddesley. After leaving North Baddesley, the entrance to the University of Southampton Science Park is 1 mile further on, on the right, and has a prominent name board at the entrance.

Enter the Science Park and follow the road (University Parkway), slowly because of the speed bumps, round to the right past the Merck building. Chilworth Labs are 150 yards further on, on the left.

By Rail

Fast trains from London Waterloo reach Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station in 60 minutes or Southampton Central Station in 70 minutes. The Airport station is closer than Southampton Central to Chilworth. Taxis are available at either station.

From Portsmouth, Salisbury or Bournemouth directions use Southampton Central.

Train times can be obtained from the National Rail, the Qjump or the Thetrainline web-sites.

By Air

Southampton Airport is next to Southampton Airport (Parkway) Railway Station, just 3 to 4 miles by taxi from Chilworth.

There are many local hotels to choose from if you are staying overnight.
